City of Miami prohibits construction between 6 PM and 8 AM on weekdays, and all day on Sundays or holidays, if it creates a noise disturbance across residential or noise-sensitive zones. Regular construction on public rights-of-way is permitted Mon-Sat from 8 AM to 6 PM. Miami-Dade County prohibits construction noise near residences between 8 PM and 7 AM. Waivers may be obtained for work during restricted hours.

Operating radios, musical instruments, or sound-making devices between 11 PM and 7 AM is unlawful if plainly audible at 100 feet from the source. Music from bars, clubs, and businesses is unlawful during these hours if audible outside the building and disturbing residents.

Owning, harboring, possessing, or keeping any animal that causes frequent, habitual, or long-continued noise plainly audible at 100 feet from the building, structure, or yard where it's located.

Prohibits unnecessary sounding of horns, signaling devices, or alarms; discharge of exhaust without an effective muffler; and operating vehicles so out of repair or loaded as to create unreasonably loud noise in residential areas.

Operation of noise-producing lawn mowers, edgers, trimmers, blowers, chippers, chainsaws, power tools, and other outdoor tools at residences is prohibited between 8 PM and 7 AM.

Any unreasonably loud, boisterous, or raucous shouting in any residential area is prohibited.

Creating excessive or unreasonably loud noise on streets adjacent to these institutions during their hours of use or operation, which interferes with their workings or disturbs patients, is prohibited if conspicuous signs are displayed.
