Construction activities that cannot comply with noise regulations are permitted between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. (or 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. during daylight savings time) on any day in specific commercial/mixed-use zoning districts. On Sundays and national holidays, construction is prohibited before 10:00 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m., and no construction is allowed in buildings with occupied apartment units.

The operation of radios, televisions, phonographs, and similar devices is unlawful between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. if plainly audible at a distance of 100 feet. Amplified music and loud outdoor gatherings in residential neighborhoods must remain under 60 decibels after 10:00 PM.

Owning, harboring, possessing, or keeping any animal or bird that causes frequent, habitual, or long-continued noise plainly audible at a distance of 100 feet from its location is prohibited.

The sounding of any horn or signaling device on a vehicle except as a danger warning, creating an unreasonably loud or harsh sound, or sounding for an unnecessary/unreasonable period is prohibited.

Operation of noise-producing lawn mowers, edgers, trimmers, blowers, chippers, chain saws, and other power tools used outdoors at a residence is prohibited between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
