Construction and demolition activities, excluding emergency work, are prohibited between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays, and between 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. on weekends and federal holidays. All motorized equipment must operate with a muffler. Power tools and landscaping equipment on commercial/industrial property within 250 feet of residential property are also restricted during these hours.

Operation of amplified sound cannot exceed permissible levels (Table II, not specified) when measured within a complainant's residence using C-weighting, fast response. Portable amplified sound equipment on public spaces cannot be plainly audible at 100 feet from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and 50 feet from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Domestic animals, not in a state of natural liberty, may not make more than 60 vocalizations in any ten-minute period. Exceptions apply to animal establishments, commercial kennels, pet shops, veterinary hospitals, animal shelters, and humane organizations.

Commercial trucks with refrigeration units cannot operate within 250 feet of residential property between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays, or between 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. on weekends. Motor vehicles must be equipped with a properly functioning muffler to prevent excessive noise. Louisiana state law prohibits amplified sound from vehicles on public streets, highways, or parks audible at over 25 feet and exceeding 85 decibels.
