Unreasonably loud and disturbing noise is prohibited. While general hours are not explicitly defined as exceptions to the overall decibel limits in search results, permits can be issued by the city manager for work outside normal hours for emergencies or continuous operations. Anticipated construction noise levels can range from 70 to 90 decibels.

Amplified music is specifically prohibited after 11 PM. It is unlawful to operate amplified devices if the sound is cast directly onto public streets or places, or heard to the annoyance of travelers or persons in neighboring premises.

Incessant animal noise that frequently or continuously disturbs comfort and repose is prohibited. Roosters are not permitted within city limits. Dogs must be under restraint when off the owner's property.

The unnecessary or prolonged sounding of horns or signal devices is prohibited. Operating radios or mechanical musical instruments from vehicles that annoy or inconvenience others is also unlawful.
