General construction, demolition, alteration, or repair of any building in residential districts is prohibited between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. (local time) without a special permit. Due to Nevada Revised Statute, construction may begin at 5:00 a.m. from April 1st to September 30th.

The unreasonably loud and raucous use of loudspeakers, amplifiers, public address systems, or similar devices is prohibited between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays, and between 10:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays, especially near residential areas, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, or public libraries. Operating such devices in a motor vehicle on a public right-of-way is restricted if plainly audible at 50 feet.

It is unlawful to own, keep, harbor, or possess any animal which, by unreasonably loud, unnecessary, or frequent barking, yelping, howling or other noise, causes unreasonable annoyance or disturbance to the neighborhood or persons of ordinary sensitivity (Henderson Municipal Code 7.08.030). Factors like time of day, intensity, and duration are considered.

Motor vehicles, including motorcycles and motor-powered bicycles, must be equipped with a muffler to prevent excessive or unusual noise; the use of cutouts, bypasses, or similar muffler elimination devices is unlawful. Repairing, rebuilding, modifying, or testing vehicles that cause noise described as unreasonably loud or raucous across a residential real property boundary is prohibited.
