Construction, excavation, demolition, alteration, or repair in residential districts is prohibited between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, and between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Loud music from a car audible 50 feet away is prohibited by both city and state law.

The keeping of any animal, bird, or fowl that creates frequent or long-continued noise disturbing to persons in the vicinity is prohibited. Barking dog complaints are considered non-emergency and should be reported to the police non-emergency line.

Vehicles

Operating any vehicle in a state of disrepair or loaded in a manner that causes loud and unnecessary grating, grinding, rattling, or other noise is prohibited. Loud music from a vehicle audible 50 feet away is prohibited. Unnecessary and unreasonable sounding of horns or noise-emitting devices is also prohibited.
