Grating, grinding, or rattling noise from any motor vehicle that is out of repair or improperly loaded is prohibited. Discharging exhaust into the open air without an effective muffler is prohibited. Vehicle idling and compression/engine braking (e.g., 'Jake braking') for commercial motor vehicles are also restricted.
